UDUAGHAN PLANS BIG FOR IBORI GOLF CLUB

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has promised to make the Ibori Golf and Country Club (IGCC) Governor's cup tournament one of the best and most competed for in the country
Dr. Uduaghan who made the promise at while teeing off the 2nd Governor's cup tournament of the IGCC in Asaba, said the vision of his administration is to set very high standards and attract the best golfers in the country to the state.
He said the tournament was already very popular and can boast of high records even as he promised to sustain the tempo.
The Governor also said that a time will come when a line shall be drawn and only high level professionals shall participate in competitive golfing in the state.
Dr. Uduaghan who was enthusiastic that State Governors, Senators and other important personalities were participating in the tournament urged participants to imbibe the spirit of the game and demonstrate professional expertise.
Speaking further he said “This tournament has become very popular and more and more experienced golfers are participating and my vision is to make it the best in the country.”
He said the tournament should be seen as another reflection of the giant strides his administration has made in the development of the State. “This golf course is now a standard one and the few things remaining will be completed soon. In fact we are already on course and the next tournament shall be better than this,” he said.
Dr. Uduaghan said the state is a sports loving one and shall continue to maintain its leading position in sporting activities in the country.
Among prominent participants in the tournament were Senate President David Mark and Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
